Richard Quadrio – Word for Life
Though he has been a pastor for over 20 years, Richard did not grow up as a Christian. He came to faith as young adult and soon after felt a call to serve God as a pastor. Richard is very committed to leading a church that can reach people, especially those who did not grow up in the church. Richard is married to Wendy and they have three adult children. Richard’s ministry years began church planting in the south west of Sydney and later included working for a decade at Robert Menzies College, Macquarie University. Richard’s preaching style is unusual, he is committed to expounding the Bible but is desperate that truth should be relevant, challenging, practical and lifechanging. As an expression of his desire to reach people with the love of God Richard also writes a weekly column type email, Word4life. This “bible in one hand and newspaper in the other” commitment is also expressed in Richard’s involvement in the media at 2CH Radio, 103.2 FM and with the television program Face to Face as seen on the Australian Christian Channel. Richard’s other great loves include reading, politics, gardening, rugby and travel.
